      A model of a Doxford Opposed Piston Engine would be a challenge. The Doxford was a crosshead tupe engine for the lower piston and rod. The piston rods and pistons were water cooled, and the book mentions "Swinging pipes" to provide supply and return of cooling water to pistons and rods. The Doxford was also a "solid injection" diesel.
